Colts’ Antonio Garcia suspended 4 games for PED violation

Indianapolis Colts offensive tackle Antonio Garcia has been suspended for the first four games of the 2019 season, the league announced Monday.

The suspension, which is without pay, is due to a violation of the league’s performance-enhancing substance policy. Here’s the statement from the league:

Antonio Garcia of the Indianapolis Colts has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2019 regular season for violating the NFL policy on performance-enhancing substances.

Garcia is eligible to participate in all offseason and preseason practices and games. He will be eligible to return to the Colts’ active roster on Monday, September 30, following the team’s September 29 game against the Oakland Raiders.

Garcia was originally a third-round pick with the New England Patriots in the 2017 NFL draft. The Colts signed him to the practice squad in October and then to a futures contract in January.
