Colts’ Anthony Castonzo named to PFF’s Team of the Week

Indianapolis Colts left tackle Anthony Castonzo is off to a hot start in 2019, and he was named to Pro Football Focus’ Team of the Week for his performance in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans.

Coming off of a strong 2018 campaign, the 31-year-old has continued his stellar play on the blindside. Here’s what Pro Football Focus had to say about his performance against the Titans in Week 2:

Castonzo was fantastic once again for the Colts on the left side of the offensive line, allowing just one hurry and no sacks or hits from 38 pass-blocking snaps and producing an 88.1 PFF pass-blocking grade in the process.

The Colts offensive line has been strong for the most part through the first two games of the season. Castonzo and left guard Quenton Nelson have been a stellar duo on the left side of the line for the Colts, and they have found much success running plays behind them.

Castonzo is entering the final contract year of his current deal. If he continues to play like he has to open the season, the Colts will be calling with an extension.
