There aren’t many quarterback-to-wide-receiver tandems that will have as much chemistry as Indianapolis Colts Andrew Luck and T.Y. Hilton, who enter their eighth season together.
Both selections in the 2012 NFL Draft, Luck and Hilton came into the league together and instantly had a rapport. It’s still going strong as we approach the 2019 season, and they were ranked as the seventh-best tandem in the NFL by Barry Werner of Touchdown Wire.
T.Y. Hilton is one lucky wideout to be the favorite target of Andrew Luck, one of the best quarterbacks in the league. After missing a year, Luck was dazzling. He figures to get better.
Though Luck missed the entire 2017 season, he came back strong in 2018. The duo didn’t miss a beat as Luck was one of the top passers in the entire league and Hilton re-gained his form as one of the best deep threats.
Luck finished the season completing 67.3% of his passes for 4,593 yards, 39 touchdowns and 15 interceptions with a 98.7 passer rating. Hilton exploded during the second half of the season to finish the campaign with 76 catches for 1,270 yards and six touchdowns.
The Colts offense is expected to continue as a stout passing unit, which will be led by the duo of Luck and Hilton.
