Colts’ Andrew Luck ranked No. 12 on PFF’s top 101

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck silenced any doubts about his return with an incredible season that ended with him winning the Comeback Player of the Year award.

Luck returned to the upper echelon of quarterbacks in his first season under head coach Frank Reich, and Pro Football Focus ranked him as the 12th-best player in the NFL in their top 101 players list.

Top 101 appearances: 3

There once was legitimate questions about whether Andrew Luck would ever play football again, but Luck answered those questions firmly with a tumultuous comeback season. He finished the season ranked third among all quarterbacks in PFF grade at 91.2, while his 34 touchdown passes from a clean pocket were second to only Patrick Mahomes.

The 29-year-old finished the 2018 season setting a few career-highs. His completion percentage (67.3) and passer rating (98.7) were the highest of his career while his passing yardage (4,593) and passing touchdown totals (39) were the second-highest of his career.

Luck took a step toward being a more efficient quarterback in Reich’s quick-passing scheme and behind an offensive line that made a remarkable turnaround into one of the best units in the NFL.

Finally getting a normal offseason, Luck will return for the Colts looking to lead them further into the playoffs in 2019 as one of the best players in the NFL.
