Colts’ Andrew Luck (calf) still out of OTAs

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck wasn’t on the field for the first week of organized team activities due to a calf strain, and it appears that will continue after the team re-evaluated the injury.

The Colts still feel the injury isn’t serious, and Luck appears to be making progress given that he’s working out again. However, he isn’t expected to participate on the field this week.

While Luck is dealing with the calf strain, head coach Frank Reich is said to have another update after practice on Wednesday, which is the fourth OTA session of the spring.

This could mean the Colts are simply taking it day by day and that there is a chance Luck could make it back sometime this week. Though, with only two OTA sessions remaining for the week, it remains to be seen if the Colts will push it.

The injury isn’t considered to be long-term or serious, but the Colts are making sure they take all the necessary steps in order to provide Luck without any hiccups down the road.

This means, at least for Wednesday, Luck won’t be participating.
