The 2019 regular season is still months away, but playoff odds are out and the Indianapolis Colts are already being considered among the top favorites for the AFC.
Releasing their playoff odds on Monday, Caesars has the Colts listed with the fourth-highest odds in the AFC to make the postseason at -175.
The New England Patriots (-850), Kansas City Chiefs (-350) and Los Angeles Chargers (-200) all have better odds to make the playoffs than the Colts in the AFC.
In the division, the Colts lead the way followed by the Houston Texans (+150), Jacksonville Jaguars (+270) and Tennessee Titans (+280).
Even if the Colts are the heavily favored team in the division, it should be an interesting season in the AFC South. Most of the teams have a chance to make a claim at the top spot when its all said and done, regardless of who has the top odds before the season.
The Colts have most of their starters returning on both sides of the ball and given the newfound depth at several positions, the outlook is as bright as it has been since the Andrew Luck era began in 2012.
Playoff odds will change as the season progresses, but the Colts appear to be one of the favored teams in the NFL.
