Colts activate LG Quenton Nelson from IR

The Indianapolis Colts activated left guard Quenton Nelson from the injured reserve list and placed safety Julian Blackmon on the injured reserve list, the team announced Saturday.

Nelson has missed the last three games while on the reserve list dealing with a high-ankle sprain. He initially suffered the injury during the Week 3 divisional matchup against the Tennessee Titans.

With Nelson back in the lineup, his replacement Chris Reed will now work in a depth role. However, there is a chance we see Reed giving Mark Glowinski a spell at right guard.

Blackmon will miss the remainder of the season after tearing his Achilles during Wednesday’s practice.
