Colt McCoy ruled out of Thursday’s preseason game against the Bengals

It was widely speculated, but now it has been confirmed; quarterback Colt McCoy will not play in Thursday’s preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

McCoy, who is still not 100 percent healthy after suffering a broken leg last December, was also held out of last week’s preseason opener, a 30-10 loss to the Cleveland Browns. Head coach Jay Gruden said earlier in the week that he felt some soreness after practice on Sunday, and they had not yet determined if he would go on Thursday or not.

Now we know, so it’s time to get ready for more Case Keenum and Dwayne Haskins at home against the Bengals.
