Colourful characters gather in Dumfries for Comic Con

It was a super day of fun for Comic Con at the David Keswick Centre in Dumfries on Saturday.

A cast of colourful characters made up the more than 2,000 people that descended on BGCP’s Comic Con event.

Superman, Spider-Man, Ghostbusters and Transformers made up just a small fraction of the creative costumes people wore on the day.

Joshua and Edith were all dressed up a their favourite characters (Bobby Geddes)

It was the second Comic Con to take place in Dumfries and, with a creative crowd of heroes and villains both young and old getting into the spirit of the day, it was a successful event.

As well as photo opportunities, there were more than 50 stall holders with comic books, artwork and toys on offer.

Organisers posted on Facebook: “Thank you to the more than 2,000 of you who attended the second Dumfries Comic Con yesterday.

“We hope everyone had great fun and we’ll see you again in October.”
