The Colorado State Rams and Boise State Broncos matchup in Boise is an important game for both teams. This is a must win game for both, as it has postseason implications. Both the Rams and Broncos sport identical records, but Boise gets the seeding advantage due to a win over CSU.
Two things that must remain the Colorado State Rams focus for the rest of the season: Movement and Feeding the Big Chile. The Rams, until recently, have had trouble moving the ball. They didn’t move without the ball, which slowed the offense down. What has helped the Rams is giving the ball to Nico Carvacho and letting him dictate the offense.
One other thing the Rams need to keep an eye on is their defense. Before their offensive resurgence against San Jose State, the last game that the Rams held their opponents to 69 points or less was a loss to Long Beach State back on December 22nd. Defense will be a key for the Rams in this game.
The Boise State Broncos are trying to end a three game losing streak. That streak includes losses to Fresno State, SDSU, and Utah State. The Broncos should have confidence coming into this game, considering they beat the Rams in their last matchup. Although, they almost let the Rams comeback on them.
Boise State has played their three losses close, but couldn’t close them out. Justinian Jessup is their main scorer and will need to be again. Plus some other Broncos will need to get involved. The Rams have focused on taking the other options away from a team’s leading scorer.
A must-win matchup for both teams will surely bring fireworks from both squads. Boise wants to end their three game losing streak and the Rams want revenge from earlier this season.
