Colorado’s Travis Hunter Shared Special Moment With CSU Player Whose Hit Left Him Injured

It appears that Colorado’s Travis Hunter and Colorado State’s Henry Blackburn shared a special moment with each other after Blackburn received nationwide criticism for his late hit on the two-way star.

Blackburn reposted the moment on his Instagram story where he and Hunter can be seen dapping up, appearing to end any notion that there’s bad blood between the two.

“God has a bigger plan,” Blackburn wrote.

On Sept. 16, Blackburn viciously hit Hunter in the first quarter of the Rams-Buffaloes game in Boulder. The hit was applied after a play in which a pass intended for Hunter fell incomplete along the left sideline and it was clear Blackburn got there after the whistle was blown.

Blackburn was assessed a personal foul for the late hit but was not ejected, leading fans to voice their displeasure online. After the game, it was announced Hunter was taken to the hospital, and it was later reported that he would miss three weeks of action with a lacerated liver. Blackburn and his family later said they received death threats as a result of the sequence.

But almost two weeks later, it’s clear now to fans that the two players have put it behind them.
