Colm Meaney joins cast of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Glasnevin legend Colm Meaney has joined the star studded cast of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

In a trailer for the new series, the Dublin actor befriends the gang when they visit Ireland.

He is seen standing in a graveyard with the Charlie Day, the infamous co-owner of Paddy's pub and struggling glue addict

The American sitcom was shooting in the capital in August and had called out for a Danny DeVito stunt double.

In December 2020, it was also announced that the show would be renewed for a whopping four more seasons, giving us a consistent level of chaos, absurdity, and improvisation for years to come.

A man who claims to be "Danny Dublin DeVito" on Instagram immediately "cleared" his schedule when it emerged that the hit-show were looking for a stunt double for the legendary actor.

In an Instagram post, Danny Dublin DeVito captioned a screen shot of Dublin Live's story and captioned it: "I’ve cleared my schedule baby."

Season 15 of the began filming on August 20, making the raucous comedy the longest running live-action sitcom in history.
