Collingwood's Jordan De Goey caught drink driving

Collingwood midfielder Jordan De Goey has been caught drink driving, returning a blood alcohol level almost twice the legal limit in a random breath test.

The club said De Goey notified them his licence had been immediately suspended after he returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.095 on Saturday night.

"Club officials will meet on Monday to determine how this matter will be addressed," the club said in a statement.

Last year, De Goey was fined $5,000 and suspended for three matches by the Magpies, after lying about his involvement in a bar fight.

De Goey, 21, had to have surgery on his right hand in March last year, and initially told the club he had injured himself playing with his pet dog.

He later revealed the truth to the Magpies about the cause of the injury, which resulted from a fight at a St Kilda bar.
