Collin Street in Nottingham city centre has reopened more than 12 hours ahead of schedule - and bus services are back to a normal service.
The road was shut from 10pm on Friday (October 11) so a crane tower could be put up as part of the long-awaited revamp of the intu Broadmarsh Shopping Centre.
Collin Street and part of Maid Marian Way were closed from the junction with Friar Lane to the junction with Middle Hill.
The road was expected to be closed until 6am on Monday (October 14).
However, Nottingham City Council's transport department tweeted, at 5.30pm on Sunday (October 13), to say the road was back open.
The tweet read: "Collin Street has reopened more than 12 hours ahead of schedule, and a tower crane is now at @intuBroadmarsh ready for its redevelopment. Thank you all for your patience and to @WeAreMcAlpine for their efforts this weekend."

Nottingham City Transport tweeted to say all services "are now operating their normal routes within the city".
All stops are being served as normal.
