BHOPAL: The MP government on Saturday announced that colleges can reopen on September 15. Class 6 children are expected to be back in school a fortnight before collegoers – the order to reopen schools had come on Friday.
“All colleges will be opened on September 15 at 50% student strength. The rest will attend classes online. Teachers, other staff and students, everyone must be 100% vaccinated. If necessary, vaccination camps will also be organized in colleges,” higher education minister Mohan Yadav said in Ujjain. A decision on hostels is likely on September 1.
Colleges have been given the freedom to decide how to hold classes, Yadav said, adding that if necessary, colleges can take permission from the crisis management committee.
