College GameDay: See Lee Corso’s headgear pick for Clemson-Notre Dame ACC championship game

For conference championship weekend, ESPN’s College GameDay visited Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte ahead of the ACC championship game between No. 2 Notre Dame and No. 3 Clemson.

With the Fighting Irish joining the ACC for this season, this title game is a rematch with Notre Dame beating Clemson in early November in double overtime. But this time, the Tigers’ roster includes quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who did not play because he tested positive for COVID-19. With Lawrence, Clemson enters Saturday’s championship game as 10-point favorites.

While most of the GameDay crew was on site to preview the ACC title game and Saturday’s other conference championship contests, Lee Corso continued to do his broadcasting from his home in Orlando — this time with an elaborate Christmas-themed set, Santa Claus and fake snow included.

And when it came time to make his pick, while sitting next to a leprechaun, Corso put on his Tigers headgear.

Actor Joel McHale was the guest picker this week, and he picked Clemson.

Corso also picked Oregon State over Arizona State, LSU over Ole Miss, Wisconsin over Minnesota, Army over Air Force, Boise State over No. 24 San Jose State, No. 9 Cincinnati over No. 23 Tulsa, No. 1 Alabama over No. 7 Florida, No. 10 Oklahoma over No. 6 Iowa State and No. 4 Ohio State over No. 14 Northwestern.
