College GameDay announces location for this weekend

This Saturday, No. 8 Georgia plays No. 6 Florida in the biggest SEC East matchup of the season from the World’s Largest Cocktail Party.

There’s also No. 15 SMU at No. 24  Memphis, a battle between the 8-0 Mustangs and 7-1 Tigers. That is where ESPN’s flagship pregame show, College GameDay, will be this weekend.

The show announced on Monday that the crew will be broadcasting live from Memphis, passing up on the Georgia – Florida game.

This decision is about as head-scratching as it gets. You have a top-ten SEC matchup, a huge rivalry game with so much on the line and ESPN chooses to go to SMU vs Memphis.

But, hey, nothing wrong with mixing it up a bit. Good for SMU and Memphis.
