One of the great things about following Ohio State is that it is historically good in both football and basketball, the two most popular college sports, and the two that bring in the most revenue. Football will always be king on the banks of the Olentangy, but there aren’t too many schools out there that have a better combination of both.
It rang true this year as well as OSU made the national championship game of the College Football Playoff, then made a run to the Big Ten Tournament championship game and was in the top ten most of the year in college hoops. It may have bowed out in embarrassing fashion against No. 15 seed Oral Roberts, but the body of work was still really good. It’ll hopefully be even better going forward.
Our friends at College Football News do a yearly ranking of the best-performing programs in both sports, and the latest is out. Pete Fiutak goes national with it, but were going to focus on where things stand with the Big Ten institutions.
Here is how all the Big Ten schools ranked in CFN’s Hoops and Helmets rankings for the 2020-2021 cycle. And yeah, Ohio State did very well, so bask in the glow friends.
