College Football Week 6 Free Predictions

We’re heading into Week Six in college football after coming off a few shockers, which included Duke crushing Virginia Tech 45-10 and Penn State shutting out Maryland, 59-0. There were no real big-time marquee’ matchups. This week, there are a couple big games of Top-25 clashes led by No. 14 Iowa at No. 19 Michigan and No. 10 Florida hosting No. 7 Auburn. In the Big 12, No. 11 Texas visits Morgantown to take on West Virginia.

*Texas looks for revenge after losing a wild one at home last season, 42-21. The Mountaineers went for two and got the win with 16 seconds left, and this time around, they’ll get their first real test under new coach Neal Brown. The step up in class from Kansas to the Longhorns will be too much. West Virginia’s pedestrian offense won’t be able to take advantage of Texas’ pass defense. The Mountaineers can’t stop the run. Lay the points.
*Iowa will need a strong performance from their defense, who has allowed just 34 points in their first four games when they travel to Ann Arbor. Jim Harbaugh’s squad took their frustrations out on Rutgers last week in a 52-0 rout. Expect this to be a low-scoring affair, just as it’s been the last two meetings. Iowa has the stronger running game and Michigan struggles against the run. Take the Hawkeyes to cover.
*Two undefeated, top-10 SEC teams face off at the Swamp. The big concern for Florida is junior quarterback Kyle Trask, who has looked good against Tennessee and FCS Towson. Bo Nix has struggled at times, but he has just two picks and they came in the first game against Oregon. The Gators are good but they’ll miss the injured Feleipe Franks this week. Take the Tigers and the points.
