College football fans react to the first CFP rankings

The Clemson Tigers have not lost a college football game since January 1st, 2018, but the reigning national champions are outside the top four in the first College Football Playoff rankings of the season.

The Ohio State Buckeyes earned the No. 1 overall ranking, followed by No. 2 LSU and No. 3 Alabama – who will meet in Tuscaloosa this weekend. Penn State earned the final spot in the top four, and the Nittany Lions will face Ohio State on the road later this month.

Clemson still has a wide-open path to the playoff should the Tigers remain undefeated, but many fans felt that the selection committee disrespected the champs with their first ranking.

College Football mid season rankings are so dumb. If season ended today, of course Clemson would be in final 4, not No. 5.
