Online Dynasty mode in College Football 26 received a few helpful updates today following some server maintenance. These changes are live now for online Dynasty files and will carry over into ones you’ve already started. Offline players will need to wait a bit longer, but a future title update will bring the same changes there.
One of the biggest improvements is how position changes work. You can now move players around within their position group without hurting their skill caps. So shifting a guard to center or a corner to safety won’t slow down their development. Athlete recruits also get a smoother start now—choosing their initial position no longer affects their growth potential. How well a player adjusts to a new spot now depends more on their development trait and class year, meaning younger players with high upside will benefit more.
Here are some additional updates from the server side patch notes.
- Addressed a Coach Point exploit when retiring and then creating a new coach character.
- Reduced the impact of the Reach Your Potential ability (Motivator Tier 1) for better coach ability and recruiting balance.
- Note: This affects the influence given to recruits when a player at their position hits a skill group cap.
Coming just days after the recent gameplay and Road to Glory patch, today’s update arrives as EA continues refining things behind the scenes. The next title update is expected to bring more improvements, with full details set to be shared in an upcoming Campus Huddle.
