EA Sports has released the first extended look at College Football 26 gameplay, showcasing over 15 minutes of action. The video features Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams and safety Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. going head-to-head against Bordeaux. Throughout the footage, design director Scott “OG” O’Gallagher offers insight into what fans can expect in the game as the two players square off.
The gameplay video puts a spotlight on several key features coming to College Football 26, including Dynamic Substitution, Heisman Abilities and new player celebrations. It also dives into the revamped quarterback mechanics with QB Field Vision, simplified pass protection and improvements to gap integrity. Coach adjustments, wear and tear updates and enhanced defensive control are also part of the mix.
Following the official gameplay reveal, Bordeaux shared additional footage from the event, offering a more complete look at what players can expect when they take control themselves. This new video fills in some of the gaps left out of the earlier footage and gives a clearer picture of the on-field experience.
College Football 26 is scheduled to launch on July 10 for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. Fans looking to get in early can pre-order the Deluxe Edition or MVP Bundle to start playing on July 7 at 12:00 PM ET.
