GMB weatherman Alex Beresford told an ITV documentary a colleague asked him if he was worried about the shade his baby's skin would be.
Alex was embroiled in a row with ex-host Piers Morgan last week when Morgan made comments about Meghan Markle's racism and mental health claims in her interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The Duchess of Sussex says a Royal asked what colour Archie's skin would be before he was born.
Piers Morgan quit the show after storming off set during his row with Alex.
Alex spoke out during a new ITV documentary, The Week That Shook The Royals, on Sunday night.

Alex told the ITV documentary: "I'm a mixed race man myself, my son's mother is white and I had a former colleague ask me the very question and the exact words were 'are you worried about the shade of cocoa that your baby is going to come out'."
Alex continued: "And the key word in that sentence is not 'cocoa' but is 'worried'.
"Of course we are going to wonder what features the baby will take but you would have these conversations whether it was two white parrots or two black parrots but context is everything and they led us to believe that it was said in a concerned context, which is offensive."
Alex's comments came after the documentary aired the views of people watching the explosive Oprah interview.
One viewer spoke about the racism claims, saying: "I think they are worried about the fact that it is now going to be mixed blood and not going to be the same bloodline and will have different cultures coming in, and they didn't want that."
