Mystery surrounds Lostintranslation's King George run, as trainer Colin Tizzard remained puzzled by the disappointing effort almost 24 hours on.
The seven-year-old was pulled up with three fences to go in the Boxing Day feature after several mistakes, as 2018 hero Clan Des Obeaux ran out an impressive winner once again.
A breathing problem was reported in the aftermath and Tizzard said there are no further clues at this stage, until the Gold Cup contender has been fully checked over.
"I can't see anything wrong with him," he said after Harry Senior (4/5f) had taken the opener at Chepstow on Coral Welsh National day.

"The vets will just check his wind out, there might not be anything to do.
"There's nothing wrong with him visibly.
"We wont know, in a week he might have dirty nose and that will explain why it was (the disappointing run).
"Twice in the race he jumped up and i thought 'here we go' then he went back again.
"When he (Robbie Power) woke him up yesterday, he did not wake up.
"You never know, he might have had a harder race at Haydock than we thought."
Thistlecrack was also set to represent the Dorset trainer in the £250,000 contest, but he was ruled out on the morning with a bruised foot.
Lostintranslation is a 10/1 shot for the Cheltenham Gold Cup in March, as ante-post favourite Kemboy sets out on the road to The Festival tomorrow at Leopardstown.
