Colin Jost And Pete Davidson Buy Decommissioned Staten Island Ferry

Colin Jost attends The Museum Gala at the American Museum of Natural History, Dec. 1, 2022, in New York. Jost, the co-anchor of Saturday Night Live’s “Weekend Update,” will get a chance to roas

Colin Jost, known for his work on Saturday Night Live, is relishing his role as the husband of actress Scarlett Johansson. The couple tied the knot in 2020 after meeting on the set of SNL. While Jost is a comedian and head writer on the show, Johansson is a renowned actress, notably portraying Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2010.

Johansson's character received a standalone prequel in 2021, prompting Marvel, owned by Disney, to reshuffle its film lineup and delay several upcoming projects. It remains uncertain if Johansson will reprise her role in future Marvel productions.

Meanwhile, Jost continues to appear on SNL weekly. He and former cast member Pete Davidson, both Staten Island natives, are collaborating on refurbishing a decommissioned Staten Island Ferry boat purchased in 2022. The duo plans to transform it into an entertainment venue, featuring a restaurant, concert venue, movie theater, and a few hotel rooms.

Davidson shared that they acquired the 'biggest ferry' in the retired fleet and are excited about the project's potential. Despite the ambitious endeavor, Davidson humorously referred to it as a 'lifelong problem' for himself and Jost.

During a recent appearance on a podcast, Davidson hinted at the construction plans, including a computer-generated visualization of the venue. The duo playfully named the project 'Titanic 2' during the LLC registration process, adding a touch of humor to the venture.

Jost and Davidson's enthusiasm for the ferry project is evident, with Jost jokingly recalling the sober purchase and expressing confidence in its success. The duo's vision for the ferry as a multifaceted entertainment destination reflects their creative partnership and entrepreneurial spirit.

As fans eagerly anticipate the transformation of the Staten Island Ferry into a unique entertainment hub, Jost and Davidson's collaboration promises an exciting addition to New York City's cultural landscape.

Saturday Night Live continues to captivate audiences with its weekly episodes airing on NBC Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. ET.
