Colin Cowherd sets low expectations for Tom Brady and Buccaneers in 2020

Many have predicted Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady will have a big season. With a new group of wideouts and new weapons to throw to in Tampa Bay, he certainly could. However, one analyst isn’t so sure that Brady will have a career year.

FS1’s Colin Cowherd is predicting more of a Matt Ryan-like year for Brady. In other words, Brady will be good, but not great in his estimation as he adjusts to life with Tampa Bay. In his critique, Cowherd threw out some statistics for Brady for the upcoming year. Admittedly, those numbers might be a bit lower than some would expect.

“Tom Brady is going to succeed there, it’s just what do you think succeeding is?” he said. “I’ll make a prediction on this. I mean, he’s going to inherit two great receivers, three capable tight ends. They drafted a running back. The offensive line was good, except right tackle, and I think they solved that. So here are my predictions on the over/unders for Tom: … I’m gonna go 10-6 as the win-loss record. But, here’s what I’m gonna do on the stats: 28 TDs, 13 picks, They struggle a little in September, 64 percent completion percentage, passer rating 95.5.”

It’s worth noting that Brady has not thrown 13 interceptions since the 2009 season. It will be interesting to see what he does with the new talent around him. As for now, it’s still going to take some time to get used to seeing Brady in a Buccaneers uniform.
