To Tannehill or not to Tannehill?
The Tennessee Titans face an important decision at quarterback ahead of the 2020 NFL season.
Ryan Tannehill recorded the best season of his career in 2019, and made his intention to return to the Titans clear.
But the team might be in contract negotiations with him for some time now with no deal reached yet, and it’s also curious that Tannehill switched his representation to CAA at the time he did.
If the Titans choose to dip into free agency, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady presents a fine option.
And from what FOX Sports’ Colin Cowherd has heard, the Titans are “the favorite.”
Cowherd broke down the possibility and fit for Brady and the team, noting the strength of the offensive line and praising Mike Vrabel’s track record since he’s been in Tennessee.
It’s safe to say Cowherd didn’t have a lot of love for what he believes is a virtually non-existent team brand, though.
Whether or not Brady actually ends up in Nashville remains to be seen, but there’s no denying that he would enter a system with strong protection for the quarterback, the best running back in the league and plenty of targets to throw to in a quickly rising receiving corps.
