Colin Cowherd and Sam Amick disagree on Kevin Durant’s landing spot

Surprise! Another sports talk show is discussing where Warriors forward Kevin Durant will land in the summer of 2019. This time it was Colin Cowherd, host of The Herd with Colin Cowherd on FS1 debating with Sam Amick, Senior NBA Writer for The Athletic.

After discussing other popular NBA topics such as Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis and LeBron James, the two moved onto Kevin Durant. Cowherd declared that he does not see Durant leaving the Bay Area, but Amick thought differently. Here’s the exchange:

Cowherd: I don’t see [Kevin Durant] leaving Golden State. Do you?

Amick: Right now, I do … His people have gone around the league and talked in pretty alarming terms about the New York possibility. That’s why we’re talking about it so much.

Cowherd’s argument stemmed from the fact that the potential of Durant passing LeBron James in rings could put him over the top in the eyes of some NBA fans. Amick responded with the common reasoning most people in the “KD is going to the Knicks” camp have: One championship in New York is worth multiple championships in any other city.

Amick is a well-known reporter with many reliable sources. With increasingly more credible reporters pushing Durant’s future move to the Knicks, NBA fans will have to be patient until the summer to see if Durant follows the common prediction.
