Coleraine winger Josh Carson plays down title talk as Bannsiders go top

Josh Carson insists it's too early to be talking up Coleraine as potential title challengers.

The Bannsiders climbed to the top of the Danske Bank Premiership table with Saturday's 2-0 win over Crusaders .

Ben Doherty struck penalties in either half to seal the spirited win at Seaview.

It is the second time Oran Kearney's side have beaten their North Belfast rivals in the Premiership this season.

"It's early doors yet, to be honest," Carson said.

"We have done well. We have beaten the Crues twice now, but by the time we play them next things can change.

"We can only take each game as it comes and see where we are come Christmas."
