Coleen Rooney 'won't be bullied' as Rebekah Vardy aims to force her into court sooner

Coleen Rooney has reportedly vowed she 'won't be bullied' by Rebekah Vardy, after the wife of footballer Jamie has urged her to face her in court sooner.

Sources close to Coleen say she is ready to fight every step of the way in their upcoming libel trial and is not going to be intimidated by rival WAG Rebekah's 'strong arm tactics,' which she is said to find 'laughable.'

Last week, Rebekah's legal team approached the High Court to hold an interim hearing this year.

Mum-of-five Becky filed for libel claiming her mental health suffered when Coleen went public with accusations she had leaked stories to the press.

Denying Coleen is 'dragging her heels' over facing Vardy in court, a source told the Sun the wife of former England star Wayne is 'ready to fight and confident' that she will come out on top.

“Coleen changed her legal team and they are compiling the evidence and preparing to put forward the strongest case possible," they claimed.

“Coleen has said she won’t be bullied by strong-arm tactics, nor will she back down. Becky’s team are trying to flex their muscles.

"But they wanted a fight so Coleen’s going to bring them one,” they insisted.

Coleen was dubbed 'Wagatha Christie' by fans after she sparked a social media frenzy with a single tweet last year that accused Rebekah of selling stories about her.

Rebekah, who was pregnant with her fifth child at the time, strenuously denied the claims and asked for a public apology.

During an appearance on Loose Women in February, Rebekah fought back tears as she discussed the impact the row had on her mental health.

"It was really, really hard. It's probably up there with one of the worst things that I've had to deal with, apart from being abused by my stepdad when I was younger."

Papers filed to the High Court in advance of the case by her legal team claimed she was worried about losing her baby because of the stress she faced.
