Coleen Rooney tipped for Strictly next year as she vows to revive TV career

Coleen Rooney is reportedly in talks to join the line up for next year's Strictly Come Dancing .

The mum of four wants to dive back into the spotlight once her footballer husband Wayne returns to the UK when his US contract with Washington DC finishes.

Coleen, 33, wants to showcase her fashion talents and will likely appear on a designing show which is currently in the works.

She was approached by Strictly bosses this year to appear on the show, but she could not commit due to her busy schedule jetting back and forth between the States and her Chesire home.

But Coleen has settled back in the UK again for good, and her hubbie of 11 years Wayne will be joining her in January when he starts his contract with Derby County.

A source told The Sun : "Coleen could well do Strictly next year, but in the meantime has other TV stuff lined up.

“It was not possible this year due to travelling back and forth from America but it cannot be ruled out.

“Coleen is also really passionate about doing fashion stuff, so that is where she will focus her efforts.

“A show is being lined up for ITV or Channel 4 and she is likely to design items on it.

“TV executives reckon getting her on will be TV gold and will appeal in particular to young Mums."

They added: “Coleen put things on hold to go to America with Wayne last year – but wants to kick-start her career back on home soil."

Before she quit work due to family commitments, Coleen tried her hand at TV presenting as she joined Sir Trevor McDonald on his show to co present a documentary about Rett syndrome, which her younger sister had.

She made an ITV series called Coleen's Real Women, which scouted everyday women to front modelling campaigns, and sold a bestselling exercise DVD.

Coleen also fronted a George at Asda campaign and was the face of fashion giant Littlewoods.

MirrorOnline has reached out to a rep for Coleen for comment.

Wayne was recently forced to deny he had been unfaithful to Coleen after he was pictured getting into a lift with a mystery woman in Vancouver.

Shortly after the photos were released, Coleen was pictured sobbing at an airport on the phone, after begging him to come back home from his trip with his team mates.

Wayne took to Twitter to write an impassioned statement about the rumours.

He said: "Nothing happened between me and any girl on that night in Vancouver. I did not enter the lift alone with the girl pictured in the hotel foyer.

The girl pictured in the club was simply one of many who innocently asked for autographs and pictures. The photographs published were taken by a freelance photographer who followed me and my teammates to take long-range shots, without our knowledge or permission."

He continued: "The pictures sold to the newspaper were selected and edited to create a sensational and completely untrue story about me.

This whole story was a smear against me. It is damaging to my family and not something I am prepared to put up with."

The couple share four children together - Kai, 9, Klay, 6, Kit, 3, and Cass, 1.
