England's Euro 2020 journey ended in heartbreak after they were defeated by Italy in a penalty shootout at last night's showpiece final.

The wife of England's highest ever goal-scorer shared a snap of herself and the family outside Wembley with a heart-warming caption to thank the players for the moments they have provided this summer.
She said: "Not the outcome we all wanted but you have done yourselves and your country SO proud over the past weeks England. My boys have had an unbelievable experience and made great memories, thank you…… have a well earned summer:"
England raced into the lead in yesterday's game after Luke Shaw capped off an excellent team goal, but the game was eventually forced into penalties after Leonardo Bonucci equalised from close range in the second half.

Coleen Rooney is currently still involved in the "Wagatha Christie" case with Rebekah Vardy - and found out last week that parts of her defence in the libel battle will be thrown out by a High Court Judge.
