Coleen Rooney took matters into her own hands after Wayne was arrested for public intoxication in 2018, it's claimed.
The WAG, 33, reportedly put her husband on a booze-free diet so he'd clean up his act — and it seems it's done the trick.
The couple's marriage is said to be stronger than ever since he moved back from America for his new role as a player and coach for Derby County.
A source told Heat magazine: "The switch has turned out to be a really positive one for the whole family. Wayne was drinking and gambling a lot, but he's knocked those things on the head.
"He'll have the odd glass of wine, but he's determined to live the right way."
The report also claims that Wayne's new healthy lifestyle has made him a better dad to the couple's sons; Kai, ten, Klay, six, Kit, four and two-year-old Cass.
The source added: "Wayne has always been a great dad, but he helps out more than ever now with things like homework.
"He's particularly good at maths apparently."

Last week the couple celebrated 18 years together with a romantic meal at The Shard on Valentine's Day.
Wayne shared a picture of their night out on Instagram, captioning it: "Happy Valentine's Day @coleen_rooney #18years."
In the snap, the happy couple were the picture of happiness while they smiled to the camera with the impressive city lights of London brightening up the backdrop.
Coleen looked slender in a pretty pink floral number which was cinched at the waist to draw attention to her figure.
