Coleen Rooney 'now the main family breadwinner' as her earnings soar following TV success

Coleen Rooney’s income has reportedly soared to the point where she’s now the main breadwinner in the family.

The WAG and I’m A Celeb star, 38, is already thought to have a net worth of £15million, compared to Wayne, 39, who is thought be worth £170million.

The pair’s popularity has landed them a new fly-on-the-wall Disney series, The Rooneys, which will follow Coleen, Wayne and their four children.

But now it’s been revealed just how much money Coleen is making, as The Sun reports her firm, CWR 2021, already had £580,000 banked in September 2024 - before she became runner up in I’m A Celeb, and signing the Disney deal.

It’s thought that means she would have been making more money than Wayne last year, who was reportedly making £500,000 before leaving as manager of Plymouth Arsenal in December.

“On the back of her jungle stint, where she was incredibly popular with the viewing public, she's now likely to see her earnings soar even further - and the increased interest in Coleen after she did so well on the show is also likely to have sealed the deal on the Disney contract,” a TV expert told the paper.

“Getting big bucks from a global streamer, plus her pay cheque from ITV, will no doubt swell the Rooneys coffers even further.”

The Standard has contacted a rep of Coleen Rooney for comment.

It’s not known when The Rooneys will make its way to screens, but Disney say the “observational doc-series will feature Coleen and Wayne Rooney like we’ve never seen them before, along with their family and friends, as they step into a new chapter of their lives”.

They add that it will “follow Coleen as she navigates new entrepreneurial endeavours, while Wayne swaps training for the school run”.

Coleen isn’t the only one who has recently landed a TV show - Rebekah Vardy will appear in a Netflix documentary following the conclusion of the long-running Wagatha Christie libel battle with Colleen.

The show will reportedly follow Rebekah and her striker husband Jamie Vardy as the pair navigate life in wake of the lawsuit and Jamie’s departure from Leicester City football club.

The legal battle, which Rebekah lost, left the mum of five with a £1.4 million bill, much of which she may recoup with the over £1 million payday she is said to receive from Netflix.
