Coleen Rooney 'hits back' with X-ray of broken foot after Rebekah Vardy comments

Coleen Rooney has shared her joy at finally being able to take her medical boot taken off after breaking her foot. The wife of former Manchester United and England star Wayne took to social media to share an X-ray of the damage.

She was seen donning the moonboot during her libel trial against Rebekah Vardy back in May. Prior to that in March, it was reported that the 36-year-old sustained the injury following an accident at the sprawling new build mansion she shares with Wayne and their four children.

Coleen's update comes as f ellow WAG Rebekah has been speaking about their so-called Wagatha Christie feud after the judge ruled in Coleen's favour last week. The 40-year-old has said she was "scared to be out in public places" during the legal battle after receiving up to 100 abusive messages per day.

She also believes she has post-traumatic stress disorder [PTSD] from their libel trial over a viral social media post three years ago, which the High Court judge found to be "substantially true. In the original post, Rooney said she had carried out a months-long “sting operation” and accused Vardy of leaking “false stories” about her private life to the press.

In one of her many interviews following Friday's Wagatha Christie judgment, Rebekah was asked if she believed Coleen was "milking the moon boot". In response to The Sun, Rebekah replied: "Ohhh I couldn’t possibly [comment]…"

Taking to Twitter this morning, Coleen shared a snap of a X-ray of her injured foot with her 1.2million followers. "Boots finally off after my break," the Liverpool-born star captioned the picture to her fans - adding woozy-face and praising-hands emojis to her update.

But her followers were unconcerned with the timing of her post and replied to the painful-looking scan. @cathkirby said: "Ooh that’s a nasty break. I hope you heal quickly." @Wildchild001 replied: "Ouchy. Glad you have the boot off now. Hope it feels better."

@OfPalmas commented: "Did Wayne not have that injury for one of the world cups? Looks pretty painful speedy recovery." @Avery822 added: "Ouch! Am sure it feels good to finally have the boot off. Get well soon."
