Coleen Rooney declares love for Wayne as she shares unseen wedding photo on their 12th anniversary

Coleen Rooney has declared her love for husband Wayne as they celebrate their 12th wedding anniversary - and she shared a previously unseen photo from their special day.

Former Manchester United ace Wayne and his childhood sweetheart tied the knot in Portafino, Italy in June 2008.

Coleen has shared a snap of the couple embracing on their wedding day with some moving words about her hubby.

She wrote: "12 years since that unbelievable four day celebration. I love you x"

The photo shows the couple smiling with delight as they toasted their nuptials with a drink, Wayne wearing a crisp white shirt and Coleen in her white gown.

"Happy Anniversary you two ...Hope you have an amazing day xx" messaged one follower.

"Happy lockdown anniversary.  Love the photo," wrote another.

"Happy Anniversary to you both have a great day," commented another wellwisher.

Footballing legend Wayne proposed to Coleen on a garage forecourt in the Liverpool suburb of Croxteth, and he previously revealed she made the wedding arrangements and scoured Europe with her mum Colette looking for potential venues.

The civil ceremony was held at the 17th century Villa Durazzo in Santa Margherita Ligure with just eight close family and friends as witnesses before the party headed to the medieval abbey La Cervara, just outside Portofino, for a Catholic service and a lavish reception for 65 guests.

United icon Wayne, is now player-coach at Derby,  surprised his bride by leaping on stage with boyband Westlife to serenade her with a rendition of their hit Swear It Again at their multi-million pound nuptials.

The WAG supremo was reportedly so overcome with emotion she burst into tears as her new hubby's voice echoed around the 700-year-old abbey.

They have four sons Kai, 10, Klay, seven, Kit, four, and two-year-old Cass.
