Coleen Rooney celebrates with soap star as husband Wayne linked to Newcastle United manager's job

Coleen Rooney has been celebrating with a soap star pal as husband Wayne is linked to the Newcastle United manager's job.

Ever since the hugely anticipated takeover of the club was officially confirmed earlier this month, there has been mounting speculation on the future of Magpies' boss Steve Bruce.

Asked about his position, the former Manchester United defender said: "I'll wait until they see fit.

"We'll see what they have got to say.

"You're going to have to ask somebody else that."

Pressure on Bruce has mounted even further after Sunday's home defeat to Spurs in front of NUFC's new owners and on Monday night, ChronicleLIve reported that ex England striker Rooney would be interested in helping United on a short term basis, should Bruce leave.

Rooney, currently boss of struggling Derby County said in the summer: "Players I knew who played for the club always said it was such a fantastic place to play football because the fans are out of this world.

"Their away support has to be one of the best as well, they create an incredible atmosphere everywhere they go."

Rooney's other half Coleen is one of the country's best known WAGs and one of the 'elite' group who made headlines for their partying during the 2006 World Cup in Germany, along with the likes of Cheryl and Victoria Beckham.

While she has yet to respond to speculation linking her other half to the Newcastle job, she has been busy partying with a well known face from the small screen, former Hollyoaks actress Davina Taylor.

Davina, an ex of Ryan Giggs, is best known for playing Jude Cunningham in the Channel 4 soap, a role she has reprised on numerous occasions.

She is now a health and beauty guru and landed on the Sunday Times bestseller with her book It's Not a Diet.

Uploading a picture of herself with Davina and other friends at her book launch to her Instagram grid, Coleen wrote: "Loved seeing these beautiful ladies yesterday to celebrate @daviniataylor ’s new book."

Davina replied: "You’re a doll beautiful one !!!!!!!"
