Coleen Rooney admits she's 'given in' to son's request for 'Phil Foden look'

The football fever that swept over many of us during the Euros seems like a distant memory.

But it's taken until now for Coleen Rooney to finally allow her two eldest sons to dye their hair just like Phil Foden.

The Manchester City star headed off to the Three Lions camp with a new bleach blond do - which was quickly likened to Paul Gascoigne circa Euro 96.

His new look captured everyone's attention and as the England team progressed through the European Championship, men were quickly swooping in and copying the look.

There were also plenty of vows from people to do the same IF Gareth Southgate's side won their first major tournament in 55 years.

Sadly, that wasn't meant to be and probably saved the hair of many up and down the country.

But Coleen's sons Kai, 11, and Klay, eight, clearly still wanted to go for it.

"Gave in to the Phil Foden hair!!" the 35-year-old tweeted on Tuesday morning. "All tournament they have asked for it, so once the school holidays started I said why not!!"

She made the post alongside two photos of her boys separately, both out in the sunshine playing football.

And fans had a lot to say about it.

"Hope we see him playing for England, then he as to dye his hair blond," one said.

Another said: "Handsome chappie. Really suits it."

"He’s rockin that look," a third added.

A fourth said: "Aww suits them. Hairdressers must be loving Foden at the moment. Even some of the England cricket team have dyed their hair. @PhilFoden the summer trend setter!"

"Looks mint surely Wayne next?" another added.

But many fans were full of praise for Kai and his future ahead.

The youngster is following in his footballing legend dad's footsteps and has signed for Manchester United.

The news was announced in December when his proud parents beamed for a family snap as he signed his first contract.

Kai, who has signed a Premier League academy registration to be part of United's Under-11 team, was also pictured holding up a United shirt with the number 10 on the back - the same number his dad wore for the club for more than a decade.
