Coleen Nolan shares key to her two stone weight loss

Loose Women star Coleen Nolan has revealed she lost two stone after changing to a plant based diet.

The 56-year-old said she didn't turn to a vegan diet specifically to lose weight but has been enjoying the benefits since making the switch, reports the Mirror.

In an interview with Bella magazine she said she feels better than ever but sometimes misses a McDonald's milkshake.

She said: "I feel much better than I've ever felt. I've changed my diet and had my teeth done, which I just love... I can't stop smiling."

Coleen went on to say that she was concerned she would "be in a mobility scooter before 60" if she didn't lose weight as her "back and hips were bad".

She said: "Getting off the sofa was hard work."

It was her 20 year old daughter Ciara who inspired her to become vegan after showing her documentaries about the health benefits of the lifestyle.

She said: "I've probably dropped a couple of stone, the weight loss was just a bonus.

"Me going vegan was never about losing weight."

Coleen recently opened up about having the best sex of her life after finding the perfect person on Tinder.

She said the mystery man "awoke a tiger" inside her after she went five years without having sex.

However, the mum-of-three confessed she is scared to fully commit to her new relationship because of her failed marriages to comedian and singer Shane Richie, 57, and musician Ray Fensome, 63.

Coleen said: “I have met someone wonderful and I am really happy – he makes me feel like I am 20 again.”

“It has only been three-and-a-half months so it’s really early but we are dating and the kids have all met him and love him.

“He’s kind, caring, funny, romantic and the sex is great. He’s awoken something in me. He’s awoken a tiger, which I didn’t know was there."

She met the man earlier this summer and the two hit it off immediately.

The talk show presenter said her new partner makes her feel "beautiful with my clothes on or off".

She said: "And because I have now found self-confidence over these last few years I am a lot more confident during sex.

“I think confidence equals sexiness. I’m not saying I’m sexy – but I do feel sexier than ever."
