Coleen Nolan's 'fantastic' weight loss after huge diet change

Coleen Nolan stunned her fellow Loose Women co-stars today as she showed off her "fantastic" weight loss.

Coleen, 56, left her co-stars Janet Street Porter, Ruth Langsford and Brenda Edwards in awe as she appeared in the ITV studios following the coronavirus pandemic.

Her co-stars gushed over how "fantastic" she was looking on her return, as Brenda confessed she almost didn't recognise the star to begin with because of her weight loss.

Former Big Brother winner Coleen said she had been inspired to make a change to her diet following her sister Linda and Anne's battle with cancer.

The siblings were rediagnosed with cancer last year. Anne has been given the all-clear following treatment while Linda is now living with the incurable disease - reports Lancs Live.

Coleen said she is feeling the best she's fell in years after shedding the pounds over lockdown.

She credits her new vegan diet for the change.

Speaking on Loose Women on Tuesday, she told the panel: "I never weighed myself, I never did it as in I'll lose weight, but because I've changed my eating habits and eating much more healther the weight comes off anyway.

"But now I'm not really bothered about that, what I'm bothered about is I feel so much better.

"Yeah best I've felt for years. Main reason for doing it is as you know my sister [Linda] has been re-diagnosed with cancer.

"I've got to do this now.

Janet Street Porter had no qualms pointing out that her vegan lifestyle wouldn't necessarily protect her from cancer.

But Coleen said: "That's not for me to say, I would suggest that you watch the programmes."

Coleen said she initially missed dairy and chocolate in her diet but now she's got used to it.

She said: "Some of it I don't. I just can't. I'm a real love my dairy and chocolate. I've got used to it. I've changed my taste buds. Now I'm eating to live rather than eating to live."

*Loose Women continues at 12:30pm on ITV tomorrow
