Coleen Nolan's emotional Real Full Monty performance may have already saved a life

Coleen Nolan's emotional performance on The Real Full Monty On Ice might have already saved a live.

The star was seen on the ITV show last night stripping off during an ice skating routine alongside a group of famous men and women, including Love Island's Shaughna Phillips and Chris Hughes and Diversity's Ashley Banjo and Perri Kiely.

The show aims to raise awareness of breast and testicular cancer and encourage people to check themselves regularly.

Speaking on today's Loose Women, Coleen, whose sisters Linda and Anne are both battling cancer, said the show had already made a difference.

She said: "Thank you so much, and thank you to everyone.

"I mean, I've just had the most gorgeous messages and the thing about this show is, you hope everyone's going to enjoy it, but you hope that they also realise and work out why we're doing it, which is to raise awareness and to check yourself."

She added: "And what I love is, I had at least, and I mean at least, three people last night who messaged me and said they had checked themselves and one person had found a lump.

"And obviously really early and she's going to do to the doctors straight away today and that's why we do it really.

"Especially in this climate and in this pandemic, everyone's forgetting about appointments and that they should be looking after themselves, not just worrying about Covid.

"It's a show that really, really just melts my heart every year."

"It's so beautiful," Andrea McLean told her as she presented her final ever show.

The show moved viewers to tears last night as the stars taking part shared their own stories of experiences with cancer.

Jake Quickenden reduced viewers to tears as he spoke about losing his dad and his younger brother to the disease, and reality star Shaughna got emotions running high when she spoke about losing her dad.

The Real Full Monty has been staged every year since 2017 and has no doubt saved lives.
