Coleen Nolan reveals her son was excluded from nursery at two-years-old

Coleen Nolan has revealed that her son was excluded from nursery when he was just two years old.

Mum-of-three Coleen laughed as she opened up about son Jake, 26, on Loose Women today.

She admitted that she had been told by nursery workers not to bring her son back after he was seen biting other children.

The panel had been speaking about the growing number of children being excluded at such a young age.

Coleen began giggling before explaining: "Thinking about it you're going, come on, they're two years old. They're going to be naughty and all that. But Jake was expelled from nursery at the age of two."

Smiling, Janet asked what her "role" was in it.

"It wasn't my fault Janet!" Coleen exclaimed. "No actually, I just went to pick him up one day and they went, 'We think it's better if you don't bring Jake back'. And I said, 'Why's that?' and she said 'He's going around biting children.'"

Andrea McLean tried to defend his behaviour, saying: "Lots of kids bite other children!"

Sighing, Coleen said: "Yes but if my child was being bitten by another kid and I would be like, 'Can you remove that child?'

"It was a learning curve for all of us... I didn't go in there saying, 'You can't exclude my child', I have to deal with that as a parent now. And also he was two, it wasn't like going into reception and like, he has to go back. It was just nursery so I dealt with that. It was fine."

But she quipped that it wasn't her "proudest moment".

Wincing, she said: "honing the family and saying 'Jake's been excluded'... but he never bit again."
