Coleen Nolan invites reality TV winner to live with her after relationship kept 'secret'

Coleen Nolan has been living with a fellow TV star for a year, her housemate has revealed, after keeping their friendship under wraps during filming for her new show.

The Loose Women star, 58, invited reality contestant Orlagh Hartnett to live with her at her home in Cheshire last year. 21-year-old Orlagh was crowned the winner of Fred's Last Resort in Wednesday's finale episode, after competing for an internship and£10k prize in the world of high-end hotel management guided by First Dates maître d' Fred Sirieux.

Orlagh has known Coleen since she was just seven years old after becoming friends with her daughter Ciara - but decided to keep their relationship a secret when appearing on the E4 hospitality series. However, the Last Resort champion has now publicly revealed that she moved in with Coleen after becoming estranged from her own mum, and that Coleen even refers to her as 'daughter'.

Speaking to The Sun, Orlagh said: "I didn't tell anyone on the show who she was, or who I lived with. When the recruits came round to my house afterwards I was like, 'this is Coleen and I live with her'."

The budding hotel owner also said that Coleen has jokingly dubbed her 'the daughter I never wanted' in her birthday card. But the pair clearly have a close bond, with Orlagh admitting that Coleen's guidance has been invaluable over the years as she will "always tell me if I'm in the right or wrong".

Opening up on losing contact with her own mum, Orlagh said: "As awful and upsetting the situation is I have to pick myself up everyday and get on with life and go get what I want. The support that Coleen's given me has been... honestly, I don't know what I'd do without her. I don't think I would've achieved what I've achieved without Coleen."

Coleen heaped praise on Orlagh following her last resort win in a sweet Instagram post. "Couldn’t be more proud of the daughter I never asked for," she wrote. "I've known you since you were seven as Ciara's little mate... now here you are winning the top prize. You so deserve it... now go ahead and fly. Love you #proudparent (ish)."
