Coleen Nolan left disappointed by unnamed diva TV stars 'who aren't very nice'

After working on Loose Women on-off for 20 years, Coleen Nolan has got to know many famous faces - but not everyone has been as pleasant as they seem, she has revealed.

The 56-year-old singer and panelist, who has been a firm favourite on the show since the very beginning, dished the dirt on how some of the celebrities she works with are not the same as they appear to fans on the telly.

In a new interview, Coleen stressed that most stars she meets on the show have been 'fabulous', some of her unnamed celebs can come across as divas.

"I cannot say names because I'd be taken to court, the vast majority are fabulous," she began telling Woman's Own magazine.

Loose Women's Coleen Nolan has opened up about the 'diva' antics of some celebs behind the scenes (ITV)

"There's the odd one who yes, on screen, comes across as lovely and the girl-or-boy-next-door and all that, but actually behind the scenes aren't very nice."

Coleen added: "They are quite diva-ish and I find it very difficult to hide my disappointment."

TV star Coleen first joined the ITV daytime show in 2000, but took a two-year break from 2011 to 2013.

She returned to her seat in October 2013 and has remained on the panel ever since.

The Loose Women panel varies, but some of the main presenters include the likes of Kaye Adams, Ruth Langsford, Christine Lampard, Nadia Sawalha, Stacey Solomon, Linda Robson, Janet Street-Porter and Denise Welch.

In recent days, Coleen revealed she was branded 'too old and fat' for primetime television.

Despite a wealth of experience on the ITV show and success on reality shows including Celebrity Big Brother, Coleen admits she's felt producers have overlooked her on big jobs.

Speaking on author Melanie Blake's Girl Talk YouTube series, Coleen admitted: "They [TV bosses] still can't see past the age and whatever size I am at the time."

She said she'd been heartbreakingly told: ''You're so ugly, so fat and so old" after being rejected for roles."

Confirming she was not talking about Loose Women bosses, Coleen continued: "I think that's the tragedy really, I am very lucky that Loose Women, whether you're a fan or not, it's the only show on telly that has women of all ages, all sizes, all colour.

She first joined the panel in 2000 (ITV)

"Outside of that, because sometimes people go ''it's obviously not sexist because you're on telly every day'' – yeah but from half 12 to half 1.

"But name anyone my age in primetime co-hosting a show, you just don't see it and I think that's really sad," she mused.
