Coleen Nolan and sisters devastated as auntie dies after skin cancer battle

Coleen Nolan and her sisters are mourning the loss of their auntie.

The famous siblings' aunt Theresa died on Thursday following a battle with skin cancer.

Posting to The Nolans official Twitter account, a statement announced: "Yesterday, our Auntie Teresa peacefully passed away, after living with incurable skin cancer for many years.

"Teresa was the backbone of our family, the glue that held us together and the only person from our parents’ generation left.

"Rest In Peace, Auntie."

The tribute was illustrated with snaps of Teresa and retweeted by Loose Women's Coleen as well as sisters Anne, Linda, Maureen and Denise.

Linda Nolan, 62, is currently battling cancer after finding a lump in her breast in 2005.

Anne Nolan has also suffered with the disease after being first diagnosed in 2000 and is now cancer-free.

Coleen considers herself to be "incredibly high risk" of it and considered a double mastectomy last year to lower that risk.

The Nolans tragically lost their sister Bernie to cancer in 2013.
