Coleen Nolan admits she's 'jealous' of fellow Loose Women star Judi Love being on Strictly

Coleen Nolan has admitted she is "jealous" of fellow Loose Women star Judi Love getting the opportunity to perform on Strictly Come Dancing.

She was speaking to Christine Lampard who is covering for Lorraine on the ITV morning show – today when she made the revelation.

The 56-year-old said she was "thrilled" for her co-star Judi Love being able to take part in Strictly Come Dancing.

She also shared her hopes that Judi can return to the dance floor this weekend for the Halloween special after having to miss last week's show due to testing positive for coronavirus.

But Coleen has been desperate to appear on the show for years and said it’s on her bucket list.

Christine, 42, even admitted the Loose Women team have had a campaign "for many years" to get Coleen on the show.

Coleen said: “Do you know what it’s the only thing on my bucket list. Always has been, always will be until I die, is to do Strictly.

“I am so thrilled for Judi and she’s doing so well, please god she’s back this week. She’s doing brilliant, she’s loving it.

“We’re all her biggest fans but I am a little bit jealous because she’s just doing something I’ve always wanted to do and they just won’t have me Christine!”

The singer – known for being part of the Irish-born girl group The Nolans – was on the ITV morning show to talk about her new book Live. Laugh. Love: Lessons I've Learned, which is out tomorrow.

Host Christine Lampard joked with Coleen that she hadn’t received a mention in the book despite some of the fellow Loose Women co-stars being mentioned.

Christine said: “I see Ruth Langsford gets a big mention in there, Branda Edwards gets a mention in there.

“I have been flicking through and I carried on, I just couldn't see my name. I’m guessing it’s been kept for the sequel but I just thought maybe there might have been a mistake?”

Coleen jokingly replied: “Christine I’m very very upset because they cut your name out. I don’t know why. It was in many chapters.

“You know what it is, you were off on maternity leave when I wrote that book and you know out of sight out of mind.

"You didn’t keep in touch with me, I still haven’t held that child so you’re not getting in my book.”

Christine laughed: “I must try harder!”

"You know I love you." Coleen added.

Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV from 9am.
