The best and brightest of Hollywood’s upcoming stars arrived at Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood 2019 last night, including actor Cole Sprouse, singer Camilla Cabello and reality star Hannah Brown. Held at the H Club in Los Angeles, the emerging talents arrived in full glamour for the event.
Sprouse, who plays Jughead on the show Riverdale, painted a dapper picture in a striking white suit - complete with a contrast black shirt and brogues.
Despite rumours that he and co-star Lili Reinhart had broken up, Reinhart posted a romantic poem for his birthday on Sunday in which she called it a “fortune” to love him. Reinhart did not appear to join Sprouse on the night.
Singer Camila Cabello attended, wearing a striking Zuhair Murad cocktail dress complete with dramatic arm ruffles, a waist-cinching belt and no end of Murad-typical sparkle.
Her Senorita collaborator and rumoured romantic flame Shawn Mendes did not attend the event, despite being recognised on the Power of Young Hollywood list as well.
Westworld’s Thandie Newton arrived to chaperone her 14 year old daughter Nico Parker, who she had with her director husband Ol Parker.
Nico recently starred in the Tim Burton-led Disney adaptation of Dumbo.
The Bachelorette star Hannah Brown was radiant in a velvet black dress, smiling for the cameras on the red carpet.
It’s one of the first appearances that Brown has made since Bachelorette fan favourite Tyler Cameron was seen leaving her house in the early hours - before going on a date with model Gigi Hadid just two days later.
One face that you’re set to see around more is Halle Bailey, who has recently been cast as Ariel in an upcoming live action adaptation of The Little Mermaid.
She arrived dressed in a bold wraparound pink dress and on-trend hair slides.
She was joined by her sister Chloe, who wore a complementary violet dress. The pair are part of a Grammy-nominated R&B duo called Chloe x Halle, which bodes well for the Disney adaptation as Halle has proved she has the pipes to back up iconic tunes like Part of Your World.
Kathryn Newton of Big Little Lies arrived with her Detective Pikachu co-star Justice Smith, reuniting for a stylish photo op.
Euphoria’s Storm Reid also attended, however, her co-star Zendaya (who was also on the Young Power List) was unable to come.
Other stars to attend the event included YouTuber David Dobrik, Black-ish’s Marsai Martin, Asher Angel of Shazam, Storm Reid from A Wrinkle in Time and Meg Donnelly.
