Coldplay frontman Chris Martin responds to request from Liverpool's Dejan Lovren

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has responded to an interesting request from Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren.

With much of the population in self-isolation due to the coronavirus outbreak, many celebrities are taking to social media to keep their fans entertained with concerts from home.

The award-winning singer Chris Martin is the latest famous person to take to Instagram live to showcase his music.

The livestream concert took place on Monday night and lasted 30 minutes. In that time the 43-year-old responded to a number of musical requests from fans around the globe.

One such fan was Liverpool centre-half Dejan Lovren.

Following a rendition of the band's hit song Trouble, the Croatian defender replied to the live video with a comment which said: "Viva La Vida Chris and hope to see you in Croatia"

The four-time Glastonbury headliner noticed Lovren's request and said: "Viva La Vida? Okay!" Before beginning a piano-led version of the tune.
