Cold Weather Payments: The 18 areas in the UK where you could be eligible for £25 from the government

On November 1 last year the government opened up its cold weather payment offering cash to people in areas hit by freezing temperatures.

Keeping your home and family warm during winter can be a huge source of financial worry for many people.

But from between November 1, 2021, and March 31, 2022 the government is offering £25 to people if the average temperature in your area is recorded as, or forecast to be, zero degrees Celsius or below over seven consecutive days.

And with the mercury dropping below zero on several occasions already over Christmas and New Year, a number of areas have already qualified for payments.
