Cold Town House unveil special rooftop whisky bar with four amazing Highland Park cocktails

Cold Town House has unveiled a special rooftop whisky bar with a four amazing Highland Park cocktails being poured-up.

The bar, which is located at Grassmarket in the shadow of Edinburgh Castle, announced a terrace takeover with Highland Park – the Orkney single malt with "Viking soul".

This means that throughout autumn and into the festive season there will be a special menu of Highland Park cocktails designed to warm up visitors from the inside out.

The cocktails they will be pouring up will be a classic old fashioned, a hot toddy, a mulled pink wine and a refreshing 'summer don't go' drink.

And in the unlikely event they are still feeling the chill, some new fire-pits have been installed while warm faux fur blankets will be handed out.

Jamie Butcha, deputy manager at Cold Town House, said: "As the nights begin to draw in and it starts to get a bit chillier outside, we are all looking forward to snuggling up by the fire with a cosy blanket and hot drink.

"At Cold Town House we are getting into the spirit of things by welcoming Highland Park to our famous rooftop terrace. Throughout autumn until 31 January guests will be able to sip on a warming Highland Park cocktail whilst cosying up by the fire puts and gazing up to our uninterrupted view of Edinburgh Castle."

Scott McCaffer, brand manager at Highland Park, added: "The specially selected cocktails and branding create an Orkney pop-up in the capital for consumers to enjoy over the festive period."
